Sofia Petrov

Sofia Petrov is a poet and novelist whose work explores immigration, memory, and belonging. Born in Bulgaria, she immigrated to Massachusetts as a teenager and found solace in language. Her poetry collection "Borderless" won the National Book Award. Sofia directs the MFA program at UMass Amherst and founded the Pioneer Valley Writers Collective to support emerging immigrant voices.
